Edward
Bell
2nd Cornet
Edward
started playing cornet at the age of 9 at primary school in
Bramhall. After playing for a few months, he changed to lessons
on the Trumpet, having moved to live in Coventry. During his
secondary school years, taught by Angela Whelan (Fine Arts
Brass Ensemble), Edward played in the Warwickshire Youth Wind
Band, and various musical activities at school. In 2005, he
was introduced to City of Coventry Brass Band by a music teacher,
and played with them for twelve months rediscovering the cornet.
In
2006 he moved to live in Marple, and played occasionally with
Marple Brass Band, before joining Poynton Brass Band in March
2007.
Edward
is continuing his studies at A-level at Aquinas college, Stockport,
where his main subject is music, playing trumpet and cornet
under tuition from Alan Cramp.
