Jillian started playing at the age of 11 and took to it like a duck to water. After only 6 months of playing it didn't take long before she was asked to join Whaley Bridge band.

Starting on 3rd cornet she then moved up the ranks until she was deemed worthy enough to sit on the principal chair. This is where Jill stayed for a number of years until she moved to Chapel-en-le-Frith band.

Still playing top man, she stayed there for 2 years until a brief break in playing. It wasnt until VBS Poynton made her an offer she couldnt refuse that she joined on principal 3rd cornet!

Now having been recently promoted to Repiano, Jill says she has never enjoyed playing as much as she does now.
