Principal Cornet

Tony started playing the cornet when he was 7 years old and soon joined the Avonbank (Evesham) Band. By the time he was 10 years old the family had moved up to the Manchester area and he joined the Burnage Band. Two years later progressed to the Poynton Band. By the time he reached 18 years of age he had joined the Williams Fairey Band (Stockport). Moving back to the VBS Poynton Band in January 2002.

His aspirations as a player are simple. To play to the best of his ability and hope that somebody might enjoy it occasionally!

His favourite testpiece is Paganini Variations
