Concert success

A
fantastic VPs concert, held at Poynton Civic Hall last weekend.
Kevin Gibbs conducted the band in a highly charged performance.
In the audience were Alan Lawton MBE, recovering from his
eye operation, Mike Hanson Chief Ex of Vernon Building Society,
MP Sir Nicolas & Lady Anne Winterton, the deputy Mayor,
and a representative of Poynton Parish council. The band would
like to thank all the friends and families who support VBS
Poynton Brass Band for their continued devotion.

Alan
Lawton said "I'm very pleased with the way the band
performed today and I'm especially happy with the soloists"
Alan
goes in for his eye operation this week, so the next concert
(13th April) and contest (4th May) will be taken by Kevin
Gibbs.
The
Band would like to wish Alan the very best for his operation
and hope that everything goes well.
