Ole Puttick

I started playing the cornet the age of 8. I am aged 16 & currently studying A level music, music technology & Btec in creative media at Sandbach boys’ school. I was awarded one of the school major awards in 2016, the Vernon shield for gaining the highest ABRSM grade in the whole school at aged 12. I have been a member of Foden’s youth band & Sandbach school big band since 2016 the big band do many concerts with Matthew Ford. I absolutely love anything to do with music especially brass bands so was very enthusiastic to join an adult brass band. My favourite piece is Caravan & I am very much looking forward to playing in my first contest playing A tale is yet untold.

Banding Highlight
My banding highlight was playing Innuendo by Queen with a few other music student’s whist Foden’s brass band accompanied us. With the school wind orchestra, I have been on a few music tours to Italy, Germany, Paris & last year I had the opportunity to play at the last post ceremony at the Menin gate, Belgium. Which was a huge honour.
