Poynton band would like to announce 3 new signings for 2024. We welcome Kara and Richard Sutcliffe on the Flugel and solo horn seats and their son Keelan on percussion. All three have already made outstanding contributions to the band through December with Richard playing the solo In The Bleak Midwinter at the band’s Christmas concerts. Band Manager Vicky Penney said “it has been fantastic to welcome three such experienced, high-quality players to the Poynton family. Not only do all three help lift the playing standard of the band but they’ve fitted in brilliantly with the bands fun and friendly ethos and we look forward to sharing a contest stage with them at the areas in Februaryâ€. Poynton still have vacancies for a Bass Trombone player, EEb bass player and strong cornet player (position negotiable).
