We regret to inform you that Poynton Brass Band have made the difficult decision to withdraw from the contest.
We wish the best of luck to the other bands competing.
This event is not organised by Poynton Brass Band.

Once one of the North West’s most popular brass band events, the contest is back after a 13‑year break and will take place at Marine Hall on Sunday 26 April 2026.
This year’s event features an own‑choice test‑piece format plus an exciting bonus: a qualification link to the 2027 British Open Spring Festival.
