Cinematic Sounds: Poynton Band & Churches Together Cheadle Raise Over £900 for Christian Aid

There is nothing quite like the power of live music to bring a community together - especially when iconic silver screen soundtracks are paired with a deeply meaningful cause.

Last weekend, Poynton Band took to the stage for A Night at the Movies, delivering a cinematic concert packed with blockbuster themes, dramatic brass arrangements, and unforgettable melodies. Beyond providing a brilliant evening of entertainment, the event carried a vital mission: raising funds to support the global work of Christian Aid.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our audience, supporters, and volunteers, we are thrilled to share that the concert raised over £900!

From heart-pounding action themes to sweeping movie romance, the program showcased the dynamic range and passion of Poynton Band. Performing cinematic scores through the warm, rich sound of a brass band is always a thrill, and the energy in the room was palpable from the very first beat to the final bow.
