North West Area 2026

A Strong Return!

The band returned to the Winter Gardens on Sunday 1st March, for the annual North West Area Contest. Led by musical director Joey Wong.

Getting the Glassware

We are thrilled to announce that the band placed 6th in the Third Section this year. This result marks a significant step forward and a return to form that reflects the hard work and dedication shown in the band room over the last few months.

The adjudicators remarks were very positive: from strong Soloists, excellent Trombones, elegant Euphoniums to effective openings and good style. It is a fantastic testament to Joey's musical direction, at his first North West Area conducting, and the band is firmly on the right track.

Building Momentum

The atmosphere in the band is electric. Placing in the top six provides a fantastic foundation for the rest of 2026. We want to thank our supporters who made the trip to Blackpool to cheer us on, your encouragement in the hall makes all the difference!
